Basic Acrylic Course – The introduction to the demanding acrylic technique

The basic acrylic course is ideal for nail designers who want to learn the acrylic technique . Since acrylic requires more sophisticated handling than gel, we recommend taking the basic gel course beforehand in order to master basic techniques such as using the electric file. The electric file is used intensively throughout the course to teach you how to use this indispensable tool.

Course content:

Day 1 (09:00 – 17:00):

• Late morning:

  • Theory:
    • History and Chemistry of Acrylic
    • anatomy of the natural nail
    • Differences between gel and acrylic – which material for which nails?
  • Practice:
    • Getting to know the material: Proper mixing, brush work, different types of acrylic balls.
    • screenings:
      • Treating nail biters: techniques for problem nails.
      • Pinching and shading with glitter or paint.
      • Single-color application: challenges and solutions.

• Afternoon:

  • Practical exercises for the participants.

Day 2 (09:00 – 17:00):

• Late morning:
  • Classic almond shape: demonstration and exercises of the participants.
• Afternoon:
  • Square (soft square): Studio shape with nail bed extension and French glitter. Demonstration and exercises.

Details:

• Model Required: Please bring a model without artificial nails or work on your own hand.
• Materials: All work materials (except personal cutters and bits) are included in the price.
• Duration: 2 days, each day from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
